Tree Removal

Safe, controlled removal of hazardous or unwanted trees.

Our Approach

When a tree is dead, diseased, leaning, or simply growing where it should not, removal is about safety and control. We examine every job thoroughly and take trees down in a planned, sectioned process. There are no shortcuts when taking down a dangerous tree, and safety is always the number one priority.

We won’t leave a single splinter behind. Many of our neighbors found us after other companies quoted double for the same removal.

Kansas City yards are full of mature silver maples, pin oaks, and ash, and each one fails differently. Silver maples split at tight crotches in a hard wind. Ash across the metro has been hollowed out by emerald ash borer, which turns a tree brittle long before it looks dead from the ground. We take the species and its condition into account before we decide how a tree comes down.

Access drives the plan as much as the tree does. A back yard behind a six foot gate, a tree between the house and the fence, a trunk overhanging the neighbor’s garage: those jobs get rigged and lowered in pieces rather than dropped. The spider lift gets us up into canopy that a bucket truck cannot reach from the street, which is what makes tight metro lots workable.

Tree Removal Questions, Answered

How much does it cost to remove a tree?

It comes down to size, species, and what is underneath it. A tree in an open back yard is straightforward; the same tree leaning over a roof, a fence, or a power line takes rigging and time. We look at it, tell you what it will take, and give you a firm number before any work starts.

Does my tree actually need to come out?

Not always, and we will tell you when it does not. Plenty of trees that look finished only need deadwood cleared or a few limbs reduced. We would rather save the tree and keep you as a customer than sell you a removal you did not need.

Will you damage my lawn getting the tree out?

That is what the tracked spider lift is for. It spreads the machine's weight instead of concentrating it, and it fits through gates and side yards that a bucket truck cannot reach, so we are not driving heavy equipment across your grass.

Do you take the stump too?

Stump grinding is a separate service, and most people bundle the two so the yard is finished in one visit. Tell us up front and we will quote the removal and the grinding together.

What happens to all the wood?

It leaves with us. Complete haul-away is part of every removal, and we clean up the work area before we go. If you want rounds kept for firewood, say so and we will stack them instead.
